Highlights 2024

KidsREAD 20th Anniversary

Honoured that Guests of Honour President Tharman and Jane Itoggi read aloud The Noisiest Tree together with kidsREAD alumni in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of KidsREAD. Volunteers promote the love of reading among young Singaporeans aged 4 to 8 years old in this nationwide programme by National Library Board (NLB). Children in KidsREAD clubs in the community received a copy of Just a Little Mynah.

Honoured to receive the Children's Cancer Foundation (CCF) Caring Hearts Award for Volunteers (Platinum), together with Namita Moolani Mehra, on behalf of past and present volunteers. Since 2014 we have shared the joy of picture books and creative crafts in the Storytime programme for preschoolers at PALS (Place for Academic Learning & Support).

In this collaboration with Abhi Krish (local author and founder of Noolmonsters), children joined Little Mynah and The Little Prata Girl for some makan mischief filled with kindness, music, instant photo "cameras" and tasty hand-crafted mobiles.

Honoured by the Ong family to be invited to their reading of Just a Little Mynah with PCF Sparkletots Preschool Taman Jurong Blk 161, and to join in celebrating World Book Day. Each child contributed a book they brought from home to The Caterpillar Library, the community library managed by the Ong family.
